Veterans Memorial Chapel Building
Dedicated on March 19, 2011
Northern California Veterans Cemetery
Veterans Memorial Chapel dedicated to serve veterans and their families on March 19, 2011
There are currently no indoor facilities for memorial services at the State Veterans Cemetery in Igo. The California Veterans Assistance Group saw a real need to establish such a facility to not only serve as a permanent memorial to the nations' veterans but to provide much needed shelter from both the summer heat and winter rain for veterans, their families and supporters.
The chapel building seats 125 people and will accommodate any
religious denomination or non-religious service. This beautiful
building, clearly needed by veterans and their families, is located at
the veterans cemetery grounds on a knoll overlooking the valley and
the Lassen mountain range.
Funding for the chapel is provided entirely by private donations and
all donations go directly towards the cost of completing the chapel
building project. When the project is fully completed, it will be
donated to the Northern California Veterans Cemetery where it will
stand in permanent service to veterans and their families.
The funding is provided through the California Veterans Assistance Group Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit (Federal Identification Number 27-0961266), California public benefit tax-exempt corporation. No one associated with California Veterans Assistance Group will receive any compensation. All funding will go directly towards the completion of the Veterans Memorial Building and future veterans assistance projects.
